Guide · Cancel LinkedIn Premium
How to stop LinkedIn Premium before your next billing date
LinkedIn Premium is easy to start during a job hunt and easy to forget once you've landed the role. Stopping it takes a few clicks, but two details catch people out. First, LinkedIn recommends cancelling at least one day before your billing date, or the next cycle may already be charged. Second, cancelling a free trial ends it immediately, while cancelling a paid plan keeps Premium running until the cycle ends. Where you cancel also depends on how you bought it: directly from LinkedIn, through the iPhone App Store, or through Google Play. LinkedIn shows Indian prices only after login, so this guide sticks to the steps and rules rather than quoting a price.
- Cancel at least
- 1 day before billing
- Paid plan after cancelling
- Runs to cycle end
- Free trial after cancelling
- Ends at once

Cancel LinkedIn Premium on desktop
Use this route if you bought Premium directly from LinkedIn on the website or Android app.
- 1On your LinkedIn homepage, open the **Me** menu and select **Premium features**.
- 2Under Plan Details, choose **Manage subscription**. LinkedIn redirects you to its Admin Center.
- 3Go to **Purchases** and select your active subscription.
- 4Under Actions, choose **Cancel subscription** and confirm. Decline any discount offer if you want to end the plan.
Cancel in the LinkedIn app
In the mobile app: tap your profile photo, tap Premium features, tap Manage your subscription (this opens Manage Premium account settings), then tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
One odd case: if you bought Premium on an iPhone through the mobile website rather than the App Store, LinkedIn says you must cancel on desktop, not in the iOS app.
Bought through Apple or Google Play
If you subscribed inside the LinkedIn iPhone app, Apple bills you, so cancel from your Apple device's subscription settings. Google Play purchases are more flexible: LinkedIn says you can cancel through the LinkedIn website, the LinkedIn app, or Google Play itself.
| Bought through | Where to cancel | Note |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn website or Android app | Me > Premium features > Manage subscription > Purchases | Cancel 1+ day before billing |
| iPhone mobile website | LinkedIn on desktop | Can’t be cancelled in the iOS app |
| Apple App Store | Apple device subscription settings | Apple’s billing rules apply |
| Google Play | LinkedIn website, LinkedIn app or Google Play | Any of the three works |
Free trial vs paid plan: when access ends
This is the detail that decides when to cancel. On a paid plan, LinkedIn says the plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, so you can cancel early and keep using InMail and insights until then. On a free trial, cancelling ends Premium straight away. If you want the full trial, set a reminder for the day before it ends; if you're sure you won't pay, cancel now. LinkedIn's help page points to its refund policy if a trial converts before you cancel.
Illustrative, based on LinkedIn’s rules: paid plans run to the end of the billing cycle (a 30-day month and a 365-day year assumed); a cancelled free trial ends immediately.
| Monthly plan, cancelled on day 10 | 20 |
|---|---|
| Annual plan, cancelled after 3 months | 273 |
| Free trial, cancelled on day 10 | 0 |
What you lose when Premium ends
When the plan ends, your account goes back to free Basic. You lose Premium features such as InMail credits, profile insights and LinkedIn Learning access. Your profile, connections and messages stay. If you only need Premium for a short burst, such as a two-month job search, it can work out cheaper to buy it for that window and cancel right after. Subspace lists LinkedIn Premium groups and plans; the live table on this page shows current options.
