OTTplay Premium explained: packs, partner apps and value

OTTplay, from HT Media, is an aggregator: one app and one subscription that unlock several streaming services at once. Its App Store listing names partners such as SonyLIV, ZEE5, JioHotstar, Lionsgate Play, Sun NXT, FanCode and Discovery+, grouped into packs like Power Play, Hindi Max, Simply South and Dus Ka Dum, and says packs start at ₹99 a month. OTTplay's plan page shows the full price list only to visitors in India, and partner line-ups change as deals change. This page explains how OTTplay subscription plans work, what to check before you buy a pack, how to tell whether it beats paying for the apps you watch separately, and how OTTplay groups on Subspace split the cost.

How OTTplay packs work

Each OTTplay pack is a fixed bundle of partner apps for a set period. Power Play is the premium pack, Hindi Max is aimed at North India, Simply South at South Indian viewers, and Dus Ka Dum is an assorted mix. The listing counts 30-plus partner platforms in total, but no single pack includes all of them.

Check the pack details for how each partner app is activated. The important detail is the tier: a pack may include a partner's mobile-only or basic plan rather than its full plan, which affects TV access, picture quality and ads. Check this for each app you care about before you pay.

What to check before you buy a pack

Open the pack details in the OTTplay app and go through this list. Five minutes here saves paying for apps you will never open.

Pack price vs buying apps separately

The fair test is simple: add up what you would pay for the two or three apps you actually watch, at their official yearly prices, and compare that with a year of the OTTplay pack. If the pack costs less and includes the right tier of each app, it is a good deal. If you really watch only one service, buy that one directly; for example, SonyLIV or JioHotstar.

Official yearly prices of apps often found in bundles

Official prices: SonyLIV Helpdesk; JioStar release (Jan 2026); ZEE5 All Access pack per June 2026 coverage. Use these to compare with an OTTplay pack price for a year.

SonyLIV Premium₹1,499
JioHotstar Super₹1,099
SonyLIV Mobile Only₹699

Who OTTplay suits

OTTplay works best for households that rotate between several regional or niche apps and want one bill instead of five renewals. It is a weaker deal if most of your viewing is on one big service, or if you need 4K and multiple screens on a TV, which partner tiers in a bundle may not include. Looking at other bundle routes too? OTTplay on Subspace

A few OTTplay groups run on Subspace, and the live table on this page shows the packs they are running and the per-member price. Subspace holds your payment until you confirm access, and you can leave a group from the app. To stop paying OTTplay directly, turn off auto-renew where you paid: in the OTTplay app, or in Google Play or the App Store if you subscribed through them.
