One subscription for every OTT app: what actually exists in India

There is no single official subscription that unlocks Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and JioHotstar together in India. Each service sells its own plans, and the "all-in-one" offers you see online come in three forms: telecom and broadband packs that bundle a few apps with a recharge, aggregators and memberships like OTTplay and Times Prime that package several services, and sharing a plan's cost with people you live with. Paying monthly for six popular apps at their usual plans costs more than ₹1,500 a month. This page lays out official prices for every major app, how each bundle route works, and how to bring your total OTT subscription bill down without breaking any provider's rules.

What the major apps cost on their own

Start with the real prices. Most apps have a cheap phone-only plan, a full plan for TVs, and an annual option that cuts the monthly cost. Netflix is the exception, with monthly billing only.

What six apps cost a month, paid separately

Add up a typical household's apps at monthly prices and the total climbs fast. Annual plans, bundles and splitting each chip away at a different part of it. Few people need all six every month, which is the first saving.

Route 1: telecom and broadband bundles

Jio, Airtel and Vi sell prepaid and postpaid packs that include one or more OTT apps, and broadband providers do the same; ACT Fibernet, for example, has bundled Netflix Basic with selected long-term plans. These are the closest thing to an official "all-in-one OTT subscription", and they can be good value if you needed the recharge anyway.

Before you switch, check which tier of each app is included, whether the app subscription lasts as long as the recharge, and how to activate it. Compare current packs on our Jio recharge plans, Airtel recharge plans and Vi 5G plans pages.

Route 2: aggregators and memberships

OTTplay sells packs that unlock several partner apps, such as SonyLIV, ZEE5 and regional services, with packs from ₹99 a month per its app listing; see OTTplay plans. Times Prime, at ₹1,299 a year, currently includes six months of JioHotstar Super and six months of Google One among other benefits; see Times Prime membership.

Neither covers Netflix, and partner tiers vary. Treat them as a way to get several mid-sized apps cheaply, then add the big one you can't live without.

Route 3: build a cheaper OTT stack

The biggest savings come from changing how you subscribe, not from finding a magic bundle. Avoid sellers offering "cheap subscriptions" to several apps at once; those are usually shared logins that stop working. Subspace groups for Netflix, JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, YouTube Premium and others show the per-member price up front on each service page, and each provider's own household or family rules still apply.

  1. 1List the apps you actually watched last month and drop the rest.
  2. 2Keep one anchor app all year on its annual plan, where one exists.
  3. 3Rotate the others: subscribe for a show or tournament, then cancel.
  4. 4Use any OTT apps already included in your mobile, broadband or DTH plan.
  5. 5Split multi-screen plans with people you live with, through a Subspace group, and buy discounted vouchers for apps like Amazon Prime.

Frequently asked questions

Is there one subscription for Netflix, Prime and Hotstar?

No official one. Some telecom and broadband packs bundle two or more of them, but each app otherwise sells its own plans.

What is the cheapest OTT subscription in India?

Among the big apps, JioHotstar Mobile at ₹79 a month and Netflix Mobile at ₹149 are the cheapest paid plans. For no-cost options, see our guide to free OTT apps.

Do mobile recharges include OTT apps?

Some do. Jio, Airtel and Vi bundle apps such as JioHotstar with selected packs. Check which tier is included and how long it lasts.

Is an annual OTT subscription cheaper?

Usually, yes. Prime, JioHotstar, SonyLIV, YouTube Premium and Spotify all cost less per month on annual or prepaid plans. Netflix has no annual plan.

Are websites selling cheap OTT subscriptions safe?

Usually not. Cheap multi-app subscriptions from unknown sellers are often shared logins that get blocked. Buy from the app, an official bundle, or a platform that shows prices and terms up front.

How does Subspace lower OTT costs?

You can join a group to split a plan's cost, with the per-member price shown before you join, or buy discounted vouchers for services like Amazon Prime, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and JioHotstar.
