Laptops and MacBooks on rent across Bengaluru

Why people in Bengaluru rent laptops
Most laptop rentals in the city fall into a handful of situations. Each one points to a different machine.
| Situation | Typical pick | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Company laptop delayed after joining | Lenovo L14 or Dell Latitude | Use web apps and keep work data off the disk |
| Weekend hackathon | MacBook Air M2 or MacBook Pro M2 | Collect on Friday so setup is done before kick-off |
| Own laptop at the service centre | Vivobook 15 or Dell i3 | Rent for the repair estimate plus a couple of days |
| Intern or student project | Basic Laptop (i3, 8 GB) | Enough for docs, browsers and video calls |
| Family visiting from out of town | Dell i3 | A simple machine for forms, bills and video calls |
| Work-from-home desk upgrade | 144 Hz or 165 Hz monitor | Plug into your own laptop as a second screen |
What a few days or weeks cost
Laptop rentals are priced per day, so the total grows in a straight line with the days you keep the machine. The chart compares three common picks over a month. Even a full month on a MacBook Air M2 costs a small fraction of a new MacBook's price, and a Windows laptop for the same month costs less again.

Monitors and desk setups
Many Bengaluru tech jobs are hybrid, which means long stretches of work on a 13-inch laptop screen at home. A rented monitor fixes that for a project crunch or a month of heavy work. 144 Hz and 165 Hz monitors from LG, Gigabyte and MSI and 240 Hz monitors from BenQ and Gigabyte are listed. They work as a second screen for spreadsheets and code, and for console or PC gaming. Check your laptop has an HDMI or USB-C video port before you rent one.
Hackathons, interns and short projects
Weekend hackathons at colleges, co-working spaces and tech parks are where a rented MacBook earns its keep. Teams often need one more machine than they own, or a Mac to build and test an iOS app. Collect on Friday evening, install your toolchain at home, and you start Saturday with nothing left to set up.
For interns and short contracts, a Core i5 Windows laptop with 16 GB of RAM covers office suites, browser-based tools and light coding. Rent it for the length of the stint and return it on your last day. If your own laptop is in for repair, ask the service centre for an estimate in days and rent for that period plus a buffer; extending is easier than rushing a return.
Checks when the laptop reaches you
Whether you collect it or it is delivered, spend ten minutes on these before you start work.
- 1Book the laptop for your dates and complete in-app KYC; any refundable deposit shows before payment.
- 2At pickup or delivery, boot it, join your Wi-Fi, and check battery, keyboard, trackpad, webcam and ports.
- 3Make sure the charger is the original or the right wattage, especially for MacBooks.
- 4Work in a browser profile or guest account and keep files in the cloud.
- 5Before return, sign out everywhere and clear downloads, then hand it back with the charger.
