Spotify Premium price in India after the 2026 plan shake-up

Spotify has rebuilt its India price list twice in a year. In November 2025 it replaced Individual, Duo and Family with Lite, Standard and Platinum tiers; about six months later it dropped Lite and cut prices. Today there are three Premium plans: Standard at ₹139 a month, Platinum at ₹299 a month for up to three people at one address, and Student at ₹69 a month. Standard is also sold as a 12-month prepaid plan for ₹1,390. Here is what each Spotify Premium plan includes, which offers are real, and what a year of listening actually costs.

What changed in 2025 and 2026

If an article quotes Individual, Duo or Family prices, it is describing the old line-up. The November 2025 change moved India to three tiers with Standard at ₹199. The 2026 revision removed Lite, brought Standard down to ₹139 and Student from ₹99 to ₹69, according to Music Business Worldwide.

Platinum, the tier with lossless audio and the AI features, is now the only plan that covers more than one account. If you were on an older plan, your account page shows what it renews to.

What a year of Spotify costs

For one person who isn't a student, prepaid is the cheapest way to pay: ₹1,390 works out to about ₹116 a month, against ₹139 on the monthly plan, and nothing renews by surprise. Platinum costs more than double Standard, but split across three accounts at one address it comes to about ₹100 each per month, less than Standard for each person.

Spotify offers that are real, and ones that are not

Searches for "Spotify 59 for 3 months" or "Spotify premium offer" are chasing introductory deals. Spotify does run intro offers, but only for accounts that have never had Premium, and the amount and length change from campaign to campaign. The current one, if any, shows on Spotify's Premium page when you are logged in. The student plan has its own intro offer at the time of writing: ₹69 for 2 months.

What doesn't work: coupon-site codes, "lifetime Premium" APKs and cheap logins sold on social media. Splitting Spotify on Subspace

There are no active Spotify groups on Subspace right now. Platinum is built for up to three people at the same address, so if you share a home or flat you can start a group on Subspace to collect each person's share every month instead of chasing UPI payments.
