Planning a shoot at Jaipur’s landmarks

Shoot early or late, and check permission rules before you plan anything commercial: protected sites usually require advance permission and a fee for pre-wedding and commercial shoots. Destination wedding logistics

Palace and heritage-hotel weddings in Jaipur run over two or three days, with events from morning haldi to late-night sangeet. Rent for every event day plus a day before for testing. Plan power: heritage venues may have few sockets near the stage, so carry chargers for every battery and a power bank. If a projector is part of the sangeet, ask the venue where it can sit and whether there is a screen, and test it in the actual hall the evening before. Keep one person in charge of the rented gear so nothing is left behind when the venue is cleared.

Heat, dust and gear

Summer temperatures in Jaipur regularly cross 40°C, and dust is constant. Keep cameras out of direct sun between shots, carry a blower and a microfibre cloth, avoid changing lenses in the wind, and let a hot camera cool in shade if it shows a temperature warning. Laptops and projectors overheat too, so give them airflow at outdoor events and keep them off hot stone.

Events, students and renting meanwhile

Beyond weddings, Jaipur needs laptops and projectors for literature and business events, coaching institutes and university students, and offices from Malviya Nagar to Sitapura.
