Aavantika Gas bill payment for Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and Pithampur

AGL lists these payment options for domestic customers on its website:

• Online payment on its instant-payment portal (cportal.aavantikagas.com), using your consumer number.
• UPI.
• NEFT, RTGS or net banking.
• Cheque in an AGL drop box.
• Customer care office in your city.

Third-party apps may label the same ID as a BP number, CRN or account number; it is the number on your AGL bill either way.

On Bharat BillPay the biller appears as “Aavantika Gas Ltd.”, with the double “a”. Searching “Avantika” may not find it.

AGL’s tariff card shows six domestic price revisions since May 2023. For the main slab, the price peaked at ₹48.25 per SCM in May 2025, fell to ₹45.62 in January 2026, and has been ₹46.49 since 2 May 2026. Until May 2025, AGL charged a higher rate for consumption above 35 SCM in 30 days; since then the same rate applies to every slab. VAT at 14% is charged on top of these prices.

Multiply the SCM shown on your meter for the period by ₹46.49, then add 14% VAT. A home using 20 SCM pays about ₹930 for gas before VAT and roughly ₹1,060 after it. Because the slab rates are now identical, using more gas no longer pushes you into a higher rate, though your bill still rises with every SCM. Compare the meter reading on the bill with your meter if the amount looks high.

Pay a few days before the due date printed on your bill, especially by cheque, which takes time to clear after it is dropped in an AGL drop box. UPI, net banking and Bharat BillPay payments are quicker to reflect.

Keep the receipt until the next bill confirms the payment.
